Killerton

Killerton in Broadclyst lies north east of Exeter, approximately 40 minutes drive from Sandays. At 6,400 acres it is one of Devon’s great estates with extensive grounds to explore and a full programme of events for visitors, including a monthly farmers market.

Killerton was left to the National Trust in 1944 by the Ackland family.

There is usually a fashion collection on the first floor and the estate produces cider, chutney, flour & honey. There are glorious landscaped gardens perfect for summer evening theatre, and the wider park is popular with cyclists and runners. Killerton is open all year with many seasonal events and always a pleasure to visit. During December the house and grounds are decorated in grand style creating some Christmas magic for visitors.
