Shaldon & Teignmouth held their bonfire night celebrations last night (Sat 30th Oct) and what a wonderful event it was. Their luck was certainly in with a mild, clear and fairly still evening, absolutely perfect conditions. We like to be on the beach in Shaldon, close to the bonfire and part of the general hubbub, all very enjoyable! Hats off to the team who created the amazing viking inspired bonfire and organised the whole thing. A great firework display topped it all off, and the many Halloween displays around the village were fun to see too, not to mention some of the little witches & wizards already out & about.
Of course Bonfire Night is still to come and there are many more planned in our area so plenty to choose from. We certainly hope to do it all again on Nov 5th.
