There has been plenty of sunshine over Easter and it has been lovely to see everywhere open again and even some events happening! The gardens at Luscombe Castle in Dawlish were looking fabulous when they opened for charity on Friday, and, on the theme of gardens, we look forward to Toby Buckland’s Garden Festival at Powderham Castle next Friday & Saturday (29th & 30th April). Our own garden at Sandays is full of colour at the moment with lilac just getting underway and masses of bluebells. The camellias are still flowering like mad and the azalea and wallflowers are lighting up one corner.
Today there was a splendid gathering of classic cars on the lawns in Dawlish, all gleaming in the sunshine.
Our open-top bus service No.222 has commenced, leaving hourly from the Warren through Dawlish to Teignmouth and providing some beautiful views along the way.
