Royal National Lifeboat Institution Events
As you would expect in this coastal community, the RNLI is well supported and there are lots of fundraising activities. Events are run throughout the year, here are just a few coming up in Teignmouth. The lifeboat stations closest to Sandays are at Exmouth and Teignmouth. At the time of writing this, the most recent lifeboat launch from Teignmouth was on 13th March 2017, and from Exmouth on the 12th February 2017.
Saturday 25th March 10am – 4pm Big book Sale & refreshments at the TAAG Community centre in Teignmouth.
Exmouth crew volunteers launch the all-weather lifeboat R and J Welburn on exercise every fortnight. They meet at 6pm and recovery on the beach is between 8 and 9pm.
