A la Ronde lies just north of Exmouth, approximately half an hour’s drive from Sandays. A la Ronde is a unique 16 sided house built in 1795 and altered during the Victorian period. The use of space is ingenious and unusual.
Much of the art & craft work dates back to the original lady owners and the style and contents of the house reflects the influence of their “grand tour” and creative skill. As always, the National Trust present the property beautifully and the numerous volunteers are happy to share their knowledge. This is a lovely place to visit with far reaching views of the Exe estuary and the coast & countryside beyond.
