Beach Management Scheme update

The beach along the Warren is changing by the day now as sand is brought back from a sandbank off shore and spread along the beach. Big sections of the beach are off limits but there is a good view of proceedings from the top of the dunes. It is a hive of activity with a multitude of diggers and other vehicles shifting colossal amounts of sand: if it stays there it is going to be a really lovely beach. At Sandays we have heard from our guests of beach management schemes in other areas of the country that have been very successful so fingers crossed.

Hundreds of gulls are circling around the area where the slurry is being piped in, they are having much more fun than the people at the moment. Presumably shellfish or other food is being brought to shore in the sand slurry.
