The very beautiful and interesting Bridge House in Dawlish had an Open Day last Saturday (19th July). This was my first visit and a wonderful opportunity to stroll around the 4 acres of grounds. Stunning, and particularly impressive as there is just one full time and one part time gardener! The house dates back to 1793 and is used as a convalescent centre with links to and concessionary rates for BR/LT retired personnel but open to all. A trout stream runs through the grounds, and I saw a kingfisher as a walked alongside it. The coffee and cakes were good too.
