Crediton

Interesting day today exploring Crediton and a couple of places on route. Surprising that I haven’t been to Crediton before now, because it is only about 7 miles north west of Exeter so a very easy trip from Sandays and an interesting town. Favourite bits were the magnificent parish church (St. Boniface), the bookshop (Once Read), and the Cheese Cafe (cheese scones to die for!), the Three Little Pigs pub also looked amazing though didn’t manage to get in this time. If I do a return visit for the Flower Festival at the church in June then I’ll be sure to give it a try.
Keeping with the cheese theme we visited the Quickes Farm shop at Newton St. Cyres on the way to Crediton, some great stuff there including appetising & unusual gluten & dairy free breakfast cereals, chocolate etc. They also have a cafe and are in the process of creating a playground, opening soon.
Lastly we stopped off at the Bernaville Nurseries just outside Exeter, fooling ourselves that it was just for inspiration!
