There is something about a steam train! We see quite a lot of them passing through Dawlish Warren, but it’s even better to take a trip on one occasionally. From Sandays at Dawlish Warren it is easy to take the standard train to Paignton, and then change to the infinitely more beautiful station next door and travel to Kingswear. Comfortable roomy carriages, the shriek of the whistle and steam billowing; can’t beat it. Not to mention hopping over to Dartmouth on the ferry (included in the ticket) for a few hours. Now is a great time before the Easter rush gets underway!
