It may not be the time of year for most people to be thinking about taking a dip, but November is the month when government beach classifications are made public. Tests are stringent and have recently become more difficult but Dawlish Warren has achieved an “Excellent” rating, the best possible. Great news for us and our visitors at Sandays, and good for the flora & fauna of the reserve too.
The rest of Teignbridge has also done well with Coryton Cove in Dawlish, Teignmouth Holcombe beach, and Ness Cove in Shaldon all achieving the “Excellent” rating.
