Half Term and Snowdrops

A cold start to half term here in Dawlish Warren, but a lovely bright day today with the funfair and amusements open for business.

One lovely half term trip would be a visit to the Snowdrop Valley near Wheddon Cross on Exmoor. It is looking beautiful as ever this year with very well signed walking routes to and from the village. Walking through this wooded valley to the sound of streams and enjoying literally thousands of snowdrops is one of the loveliest ways to spend a February day. We followed our walk with some lunch at the Rest and be Thankful Inn (we were!) and a detour to Dunster before driving home to Sandays.
