Sunrise at the Warren, Tuesday 3rd February

The last week has been glorious here at Dawlish Warren: very cold but lots of sunshine and blue skies. So much so that I felt inspired on Tues to get out of Sandays and onto the point in time to see the sunrise. It was absolutely beautiful, not a soul in sight just thousands of birds and everything bathed in magical pale early light.
One of the pics shows Shelducks and Dunlins busy feeding in the lagoon area. The Shelducks stand out beautifully whereas the Dunlins are barely visible, but in reality the beach looked like it was moving because of the sheer numbers of Dunlin that were scurrying about!
I did need a large bowl of porridge and a mug of hot chocolate when I got back to Sandays though!
