I was lucky enough to visit the Chelsea flower show on Tuesday and was amazed to find how fashionable we are here in Dawlish! The natural look is “in” this year with wild flowers abounding in the show gardens and a lovely garden by Alan Titchmarsh called “From the Moors to the Sea” . The wild poppies currently abundant at Sandays, the giant Echium looking splendid just down the road, the evening primrose now in full glorious bloom on the Warren, and a host of other flowers that I have been enjoying in the hedgerows were all there somewhere! It felt like home from home.
