Went along to Toby Buckland’s Garden Festival at Powderham Castle on Friday: absolutely wonderful event! Helped along by a glorious sunny spring day it was an absolute pleasure to be there. Interesting talks (Toby entertaining as ever!) and so much going on that it was difficult to fit it all in. The land train was a very helpful way to get back to the car park with all the bags at the end of the day and I am going to try hard to keep the new plants alive.
Powderham was looking stunning with the wall of wisteria in full bloom and a swan nesting on the lake, seemingly unperturbed by all the music and activity close by.
