There was a total lunar eclipse this morning which was clearly visible from the front windows at Sandays. Wonderful that we had a clear sky and nice not to have to leave the house as it was rather early – but worth getting up for.
The eclipse was produced when the shadow of the earth completely covered the moon, causing it to look red. As the eclipse slid away we were left with a supermoon looking larger and brighter than usual for the next couple of hours.
These pics don’t do the whole show justice, but here they are anyway. I’m sure there will be plenty of professional ones around to look at too.
