Had a lovely visit to Ugbrook House yesterday, 2nd September. Interesting house tour to which the current Lord Clifford added a story or two! Gardens & grounds looking lovely, the hydrangeas are particularly stunning at the moment. Hundreds of the noisiest ducks I have ever heard down on the lake, and lots of pheasants around. Very nice cake in the tearooms. Ugbrook (the house was named after the brook “Ug”) is at Chudleigh, about half an hours drive from Sandays.
